Tasting Notes Champagne Bollinger was founded in 1829 by Jacques Bollinger and soon earned a reputation for quality. Under subsequent generations its reputation has gone from strength to strength and today it is one of the most prestigious of all Champagne brands. Stylistically Bollinger are renowned for their rich and savoury style of wines dominated by Pinot Noir and subject to oak fermentation and extensive lees maturation. Bollinger Rose NV is the house's newest addition to the range and has been unanimously acclaimed since its launch. Modelled on Bollinger's Special Cuvee this is a dry full and powerful style of Champagne with plenty of flavour and vibrancy. Red cherry raspberry rose petal and fresh bread are suggested on a forward nose whilst the palate is intense structured complex and fruit-driven. Crisp long and textured on the finish this excellent release would make a supurb celebratory drink.
